Who We Are
Anderson Barkley, LLC is a boutique law firm of attorneys who are passionate about the areas in which they practice. The two principals, Jeanine Anderson and Richard Barkley, have, between them, more than a half century of legal experience in a wide variety of legal fields. After practicing together in the 1990s and 2000s, where they both were partners in the law firm of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, Jeanine and Richard have now rejoined forces to practice in four primary areas: Appellate litigation, consumer protection, general civil litigation, and family law.
Both Jeanine and Richard have been litigators for their entire careers. As a result, not only are they very knowledgeable about several substantive areas of law, they are – perhaps more importantly – knowledgeable about the legal process. They will navigate the complex twists and turns of the different stages of a case; and as very experienced trial lawyers they will provide persuasive and skilled advocacy in the courtroom.
Attorney at Law
“Our goal is to help people when they are at their most vulnerable: When they have been cheated, when their marriages have broken irretrievably, and when the judicial system has fundamentally failed them by reaching the wrong result.”
What We Do
General Civil Litigation
Richard and Jeanine have, between them, more than fifty years experience in the legal field of general litigation. They have participated in trials (including appeals) in cases involving consumer protection law, family law, contract law, tort law, employment law, mining law, Indian law, and marijuana law, to name just a few of the fields in which they have practiced. As a result, Jeanine and Richard have the experience, and the skill, to help you with your litigation needs, regardless of the problem or dispute.
Consumer Protection Law
Unfortunately, consumer fraud has become a growth industry in modern society, as unscrupulous businesses prey on unsuspecting individuals or groups. For years, Jeanine represented the State of Colorado in forcing dishonest companies to comply with the law or to close. Jeanine is now prepared to represent individuals who have been cheated by these same or other business entities. If you have sought help because of debt or lending problems, and you have been charged too much or have not been treated fairly, Jeanine may be able to help you. Call her at 303-284-1723 for a free consultation.
A dissolution of marriage or divorce is often the most difficult legal experience a person goes through in his or her life. Jeanine and Richard understand the emotional problems that are inherent in the dissolution of a marriage. They also understand the need for an advocate to represent and assist you so that you will be prepared for the years that follow the divorce. If your marriage is ending, call Jeanine at 303-284-1723 or Richard at 303-284-1722 to see if they can help you.
Winning a case at trial or on summary judgment is not always the end of a lawsuit. The losing party may appeal the case to a higher court, where the issues and focus may change dramatically. Additionally, the appellate courts often present their own complex rules and requirements. Richard is a specialist in the appellate process, and he has helped numerous trial lawyers hold onto, or obtain reversal of, the results at trial. If you have great trial results, but have concern about those results getting reversed on appeal, call Richard at 303-284-1722 to see if he can assist you. Richard handles cases on an hourly basis, for a flat fee, or in some instances, on a contingency basis.
